Drink Cider, Restore Parks!
We believe that being part of a community means not only collaborating and giving back - but also taking care of the wild and scenic places that make Oregon so special. That's why we're thrilled to announce that we are once again pawith Fort George Brewery, Stoller Wine Group, and Sunriver Brewing to support Oregon Parks Forever. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 to kickstart the non-profit’s ’We Care for Parks’ program. This fantastic initiative aims to bring together the community to restore and maintain Oregon's parks that have been impacted by wildfires.
From July 20 through August 31, every purchase of a 6-pack of Sunriver Brewing and Fort George Brewery beer, Portland Cider Company cider, and select Stoller Wine Group products at Oregon retailers will contribute $1 to the 'We Care for Parks' program. This donation will go directly to Oregon Parks Forever to provide the tools and equipment necessary for restoration projects in the parks.
The harm caused by record-breaking fires and extreme weather is all too real. As we enter another challenging fire season this summer, this is a great way for Oregonians to join together to help ensure that our state’s parks will remain places that we can enjoy for generations to come.
Oregon Parks Forever is partnering with SOLVE Oregon to coordinate the program's volunteer-driven efforts, which will include general park clean-ups and construction projects like building footpath bridges and retaining walls. The parks selected for restoration will be those with the highest need due to fire damage and deferred maintenance from wildfires.
So, how can you help? Simply buy a 6-pack of your favorite Portland Cider offering, Fort George Brewery or Sunriver Brewing’s beers, or a Chemistry Wines or Canned Oregon wine before the end of August. We’ll all donate a portion of the proceeds. Or, you can support Oregon Parks Forever directly through donations or volunteering your time and energy for these restoration projects.
